Step-by-step guide to creating and sending your first email campaign in Grivo.

Before you start

You need at least one contact in your subscriber list. Contacts can come from:

  • Chat widget lead capture - Visitors who shared their email through your AI chatbot (set up lead capture)
  • CSV import - Upload a spreadsheet of contacts
  • Manual add - Add contacts one by one in the Subscribers section

Create a campaign

  1. Go to Campaigns in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Campaign
  3. Enter a campaign name (internal only - recipients won't see this)
  4. Enter the email subject line

💡 Tip: Use the AI email writer to generate subject line options. Short, specific subject lines (under 50 characters) get the best open rates.

Choose recipients

Select who receives your email:

  • All subscribers - Send to everyone in your contact list
  • Specific list - Send to a tagged segment (e.g., "chatbot leads", "Pro users")

Design your email

Grivo includes a drag-and-drop email builder. You can:

  • Start from a template or build from scratch
  • Drag content blocks: text, image, button, divider, columns
  • Use the AI writer to generate email body copy
  • Preview on desktop and mobile

The builder auto-saves as you work. No risk of losing changes.

Preview and send

  1. Click Preview to see exactly what recipients will receive
  2. Send a test email to yourself first (recommended)
  3. Choose to Send now or Schedule for a specific date/time
  4. Click Send Campaign

Track results

After sending, track performance in the campaign dashboard:

  • Delivered - How many emails were successfully delivered
  • Opens - How many recipients opened the email
  • Clicks - How many clicked a link
  • Bounces - Emails that couldn't be delivered
  • Unsubscribes - Recipients who opted out
